Etched on me
A slow calligraphy of elegance
sits silently on my card
imploring me to accept
your invitation to dance.
Daring to dream,
I stand beside you
feeling our ebb and flow.
Reading life’s letters
leads to reminders
of intertwined hearts.
Are we forever etched
on the pages of each other's souls?
In a meandering maze,
fonts filled with our ink,
feverish with colour,
join us together.
The dots of our outlines,
Like ebony with ivory,
you vanquish my fears.
Finding highs to my lows,
the script that we write
leaves me loveless no more .

What stayed with me is that this isn't really about romance. It's about co-creation.
The poem suggests that love isn't simply finding someone who understands us. It's slowly writing a shared language that neither person could have written alone....
Absolutely lovely verse and presentation, Leonorra!
