Lavender Sky
( normal bleeding heart corner resumes tomorrow 😎)
Twinkling, like my thoughts,
I see them.
Gazing up, I wonder
on their galactic journey.
Maybe once,
two bright young stars
in their growing galaxy.
Many light moons later,
luminous still,
long nights shortened
by their serenity.
Sitting in peace,
performance perfected,
knowing their purpose always.
Acknowledging cruel night skies,
as comets came,
leaving trails in their wake.
Never oblivious to systems
as they merged,
diverged,
deflected,
no panic
as black holes beckoned,
gravity pulled,
hoards of galaxies encroached.
In their silent expanse,
sitting in their place,
as they met with meteors,
mocking at their simple task,
maybe!
Had they played their part,
belonging there,
together,
side by side,
in their correct constellation,
security easily sourced,
sharing courage?
Each with a light
suited to the other?
Never limerance,
just undying reverence?
Did they remain shining,
until their blaze burned out?
Did their tale predict
ten thousand trips
before they silently crept
into a lavender sky,
one last time?
Seeing these falling stars,
can I dare to dream
of a love like theirs?
Maybe a fitting celestial ending
for them…
and us?..
Maybe…

Beautiful Leonorra!
Celestial beauty ♥️
